About Silbermond

Silbermond is a German band formed in Bautzen, Saxony. Silbermond literally means “Silver Moon”. The members of Silbermond first met in 1998, when they were performing for Ten Sing. Later they decided to launch their own band which was initially called Jast. In the year 2001, they changed the name of the band to Silbermond, meaning “Silver Moon” in German. Simultaneously, they started concentrating on German language songs. The band released their debut single titled “Mach's Dir Selbst” in the year 2004. This was a huge hit and propelled the band up the popularity charts.
